Let's Hit the Road to the Waterfall! (2016)

Accessibility

Getting to this amazing spot is actually pretty easy. It's like only 40 kilometers from Garut or 30 kilometers from Tasikmalaya to Singaparna. The roads from Singaparna to Sariwangi are still in pretty good condition, but I'd suggest using a motorbike or a bike or some kinda two-wheeled transportation to get there. And just as a heads up, the roads might be under construction sometimes 'cause this place is becoming super popular. I mean, can you blame 'em though? It's totally worth the trip.

Note!

Quick update on that amazing spot I went to a while back. Good news, the road is much better now and way easier to get to. I actually went back there in April 2022 and it was a breeze. Don't get me wrong, there's still some rough patches, but it's nothing compared to how it was back in 2016. So if you were hesitating to go before, no need to worry now. Let's go and have some fun!

If you're in Singaparna and you're tryna get to this amazing place, you gotta catch one of those yellow Angkot cars. Trust me, they're the way to go. They'll take you to Parentas Village, but be prepared 'cause the roads are still a bit rough. After you get there, it's still gonna be like 8.7 kilometers of walking, but let me tell you, it's totally worth it. When I went, I was dead tired, but as soon as I saw that waterfall, I was like, "Who needs sleep when you've got this view?!" Seriously guys, it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.

Facility and Accomodation

So, picture this - I'm on my way to The Waterfalls, minding my own business, when suddenly my stomach starts rumbling like a thunderstorm. I mean, I'm hungry enough to eat a horse at this point. But lo and behold, what do I see up ahead? A row of stalls selling all kinds of delicious snacks and meals. I mean, we're talking bread, chips, sandwiches - the works. Talk about a lifesaver! I don't know about you, but I love a good pit stop, and these stalls definitely hit the spot. So, if you're ever on your way to The Waterfalls and your belly starts to grumble, no need to worry. Just hit up those stalls and you'll be good to go.

Ticket and Parking

The entrance ticket price is only 6500 per person. I mean, that's like, pocket change, am I right? Can you believe how cheap that is? I'm seriously thinking of buying like, 10 tickets and just living my best life. Who needs to worry about money when you've got prices like this, you know what I'm saying?

Tips

Alright, check it out guys, if we're gonna go hit up that waterfall, we gotta do a few things first to make sure we have the best time ever.
  • First off, we gotta check the weather before we go, 'cause if it's raining cats and dogs, we're not gonna enjoy the view as much, right?
  • Secondly, if we're the type to get hangry (you know who you are), bring some snacks or something 'cause we don't want anyone getting cranky on this trip.
  • Next up, make sure you bring all your essentials, but keep it light, ya feel? Walking through rough terrain with a bunch of heavy stuff is not the business.
  • Oh, and if you wanna really enjoy the natural beauty of the place, I'd suggest we go on a non-holiday time. Trust me, it's way less crowded and way more chill.
  • And last but not least, the right side of the waterfall is the spot for swimming, so bring your swim gear and get ready to refresh yourself like a boss!
